Psychiatric Evaluation

This is the first visit. It includes detailed clinical assessment of the symptoms to reach a diagnosis and formulate treatment plan. It includes assessing the level of care and if this clinic is the best fit for you/your child.

Dr Shah also does psychiatric consultations for second opinion.

Fees (out of pocket if no insurance or out of network):

$600 for upto 90 mins

$450 for 60mins

Medication Management

Follow up visits are offered after psychiatric evaluation. This visit is for a patient when medication is indicated. Combined therapy and medication approach may be needed for moderate to severe symptoms and based on level of functioning. Dr Shah uses psychodynamic principles to address medication management.

Fees ( out of pocket if no insurance or out of network):

$210 for upto 30 mins

$350 for upto 45 mins

$400 for upto 60 mins

Psychotherapy

Dr Shah also provides recommendations for psychotherapeutic interventions during evaluation/ medication visits. Dr Shah will be happy to collaborate with your outside therapist. Many times therapy alone may suffice as the treatment modality for mild symptoms and based on the diagnosis.

Team Work : It takes a village to care for children/adolescents. Dr Shah believes in team work with child/parent, outside therapist if any, school when indicated.

In person visit: evaluation and follow up visits provided at the office location in person

Televisit: evaluation and follow up visits provided via telehealth app by connecting to patient portal. Televisit provides an alternative to in person visit but may have its limitations. It is charged at the same rate as in person visit. At times in person visit may be warranted based on the clinical condition.

Emergencies and Crisis: Please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room if your child is suicidal or violent i.e a danger to self or others. This clinic does not provide emergency care.

Practice Policies/Insurance: Dr Shah is in network with Cigna/Evernorth, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ PPO and managed care ( commercial) plans only , BCBS PPO only.

She does not contract with other insurance companies currently. She will provide you with an invoice/superbill which you can submit to your insurance for out of network benefits.
